Agora — Organization Canvas

Purpose

Enable individuals to build a personal AI governance team that represents their values in collective decision-making through liquid democracy and trust circles.

Overall Strategy

See 00_Organization_Logbook/03_Strategy.md

Customers, Partners, and Stakeholders

  • Primary users: Individuals who want an AI team for personal/professional governance (early adopters: developers, knowledge workers, civic tech enthusiasts)
  • Secondary users: Communities experimenting with liquid democracy and decentralized governance
  • Partners: Democracy Earth Foundation (dormant but foundational research), open-source governance projects, S3/sociocracy practitioners
  • Stakeholders: Anyone affected by decisions made through the platform (broader public as adoption grows)

Business Model(s)

  • Open-source framework — the core Agora setup (agents, coaching, OKRs) is free and open-source
  • Premium features — hosted agent infrastructure, advanced delegation protocols, team/organization tiers
  • Consulting/training — helping organizations adopt the governance framework
  • Revenue model to be validated through experiments

Environmental Conditions

  • Legal/Economic: AI governance is unregulated but evolving rapidly; GDPR applies to personal data processing; no legal framework for AI delegation in political systems yet
  • Market trends: Explosion of AI agent frameworks (AutoGPT, CrewAI, etc.); growing distrust in traditional democratic institutions; rising interest in liquid democracy and DAO governance
  • Competition: Democracy Earth (dormant), Loomio (active, consensus-focused), Aragon (DAO tooling), generic AI agent frameworks (lack governance/values alignment). No competitor combines personal coaching + AI agents + liquid democracy.
